American Institute of Architects
The voice of the architecture profession, the American Institute
of Architects (AIA) is dedicated to serving its members and advancing
their value. Through a culture
of innovation, the AIA empowers its members and inspires creation
of a better built environment.

National Council of Architectural Registration Boards
The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards
(NCARB) serves to unite the architectural licensing bodies of all
50 states. To this end, NCARB develops and recommends standards to
be required of an applicant for architectural registration, develops
and recommends
standards regulating the practice of architecture, provides a process
to member boards for certifying the qualifications of an architect
for registration and represents the interests of member boards before
public and private agencies.

National Council for Interior Design Qualification
Conceived in the late 1960s to serve as a basis for issuing credentials to today's professional interior design practitioner, the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) serves to identify to the public those interior designers who have met the minimum standards for professional practice by passing the NCIDQ examination.

National Fire Protection Agency
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has been a worldwide
leader in providing fire, electrical, building and life safety to
the public since 1896. The mission of the international non-profit
organization is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other
hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating scientifically-based
consensus codes and standards, research, training and education.
NFPA is the authoring organization of the Life Safety Code which
governs the design of many healthcare facilities.

International Code Council
The International Code Council (ICC) was established in 1994 as
a non-profit organization dedicated to developing a single set of
comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes. The founders
of the ICC are Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.
(BOCA); International Conference of Building
Officials (ICBO); and Southern Building Code Congress International,
Inc. (SBCCI). Since the early part of the last century, these non-profit
organizations developed the three separate sets of model codes
used throughout the United States. Although regional code development
has been effective and responsive to our country's needs,
the time came for a single set of codes. The nation's three
model code groups responded by creating the International Code
Council and by developing codes without regional limitations. |

American Hospital Association
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, healthcare networks, and their patients and communities. Founded in 1898, the AHA provides education for healthcare leaders and is a source of information on healthcare issues and trends.

Founded in 1937, AOPHA, the advocate of not-for-profit services for older Ohioans, is a statewide nonprofit trade association representing nearly 300 not-for-profit providers of senior housing, both subsidized and market rate, adult day care, home- and community-based services, assisted living and skilled nursing.
